. Advanced Band Activities of the Advanced Band were playing at the football games with a special performance at Homecoming, presenting Christmas and Spring concerts, and attending the University of Tennessee Concert Festival in March. Individuals had the opportunity to participate in Junior Clinic in Maryville and the Solo and Ensemble Competition in Jefferson City. The Intermediate Band also performed at the Christmas and Spring concerts. In preparation for next year Mr. Rozelle taught beginning members to read and play music. The Orchestra directed by Mrs. Virginia Raulston presented concerts at the area elementary schools in addition to the Christmas Concert. Chorus The Chorus members, directed by Mrs. Beverly Kerr, had a busy year attending field trips, raising money, and presenting concerts. As a fund-raising project, they sold candy bars. Each week Mrs. Kerr awarded a $5.00 prize to the student who turned in the most money in order to reach the goal of raising enough money to pay expenses for field trips. In December the chorus presented concerts at the United American Bank Plaza, and Hyatt Regency and school. Officers: President Erik Chandler, Vice President Julie Watson, Rep- resentatives Mary Pat Mayfield, Peggy Hambright, and Johnny Haun. 62 Clubs
