Our band is composed of ap- proximately eighty students. lt includes all who play a band instrument except beginners. The band rehearses every morning before school for about two months in preparation for their performances. We march in the Senior High Homecoming Parade and during the half time festivities at the Parents Night Football game. This year the band and Mr. Bode were apprehensive about whether or not the weather would clear enough for the Homecoming Parade to be held. Our fears were unfounded, for the afternoon proved to be sunny and bright. Parents' Night proved a different story. It was cold and windy, and we played in our coats and wore mittens. Despite the weather we out marched and out played the other bands as usual. Mr. Bode advises someone to get in step.
