QUE HOPION Sue Horton has truly given herself and her talents to South Houston. She has served as parliamentarian ot the senior class and as Junior Rotary Ann. Her outstanding talent in art won tor her the Gold Key Art Award. Sue has been a member ot the A Cappella Choir, lvladrigal Choir, Y.F.S., and the Art Club, and she has been elected to Personality Plus. IZICKJ UNDEEPJG A member of the Honor Society, Rick Lindberg has also been active in sports. He has received two varsity football letters, and three varsity track letters. He represented South Houston at the State Track Meet in l966 and l 967. Rick also served as assistant editor ot the sports section on the Palladium. Rick's future plans include attending the University ot Hous- ton on a Jones Scholarship. S

ANUY UEMENT Andy Dement was elected the Most Versatile boy in the senior class, and this is certainly a fitting title. Andy has served as iunior class president, student body presi- dent, C5.S.L. representative for three years, and tri- captain of the football team. He has been selected as F.l'l.A. Beau for three years, sophomore class favorite, iunior class favorite, Junior Optimist and Junior Rotarian. Andy was also chosen for All-State and All-Region Choirs. Somehow, with all these activities, Andy found time to study because he was a Jones Scholarship finalist, and he won the Champion Paper Citizenship Award of 5lOO. PS .Vs Jemviverre eueu Jeannette Gush has excelled in both sports and scholarship at South Houston. She has served as captain of the girls' tennis team and as T.G.R.A. president. Jeannette was chosen as a finalist for the Jones Schol- arship. In the future she plans to attend col- lege and maior in math. 79

BYRON APL!-!El2J Byron Archer has been very active in sports at South Hous- ton in that he has played on both the baseball and football teams. In baseball he was chosen for the first team of all-zone and the second team of all-district. Also, in football he was chosen for the second team of all-district and the all-city team. In addition, Byron served as a Junior Optimist repre- sentative. if I 'P 1 4 f Juue Era Serving as treasurer of her class for three years, Julie Forstner has been active in many facets of school life. She has served as football cheerleader for three years and as Troian Council secretary during her junior year. Julie has been selected sophomore and junior class favorites, Homecoming Queen finalist, and a Beauty of Troy final- ist.
