White l2ll shows determination as he fights for yardage TPJQJANQ GUTQTINGQ 28-O ln their fourth district l2-AA clash South Houston exploded with a machine-like of- fense led by fullback Rick Lindberg, quarterback Don Moon, tailbock Jim White and wingbaclf Don Brogna. Tailback Jimmy White, even though hampered by iniuries, ran brilliantly throughout the night and scored first on a twenty-yard scamper around left end. Brogna followed with a fifteen-yard drive for a TD. Moon and Lindberg followed with fine runs for a touchdown each. Outstanding on defense were John Miller, Lyndal Kennedy, Wayne Adams and Alyis Gammage. Vickers local clears the way for Brogna l34l as Dumas l8Ol and Rudolph l78l come to the rescue.

T12-QJANQ QI-IOOT DOWN DEER 27-7 After a first quarter touchdown by Deer Park, South Houston blasted to a 27-7 victory over the Deer Park Deer to give the Troians their second district T2-4A win. The Trojan defense somewhat bewildered, fastened their chin straps for what seemed to be a long game. The Trojans came back quickly in the second quarter with a one-yard lunge by Jim White. The PAT was good and the score stood 7-7. The next Troian tally resulted from an end sweep by Don Brogna. The PAT again was good, and the score read T4-7. At the end ofa fine drive Rick Lindberg got the call on a crucial fourth down play and plunged over for the score. The PAT failed and the score showed 20-7 With the same machine-like precision, the Trojan line led Moon to a fourth quarter TD. The PAT was good. The final score was 27-7. The offensive unit was led by Moon, White, Lindberg, Brogna, and Archer. BY BALL I-HGH 28-15 The Trojans, entering the game with three district wins under their belts, were caught off guard as the second play of the game saw Ball scoring on along pass play. The PAT was good and the Trojans were behind 7-0. This seemed only to urge the Trojans on as fullback. Rick Lindberg rambled for runs totaling a fantastic T33 yards. The scoring by the Trojans came from quarterback Don Moon, tailback John Lewis, wingback Don Brogna, and of course, fullback Rick Lindberg. After a second touchdown by Ball High, the Trojan defense tightened up and allowed very little yardage the rest of the night.
