First to come was Thorn- ton Wilderls '4Our Townf' a play about people. 'The Ugly Ducklingf, a fairy tale satire, was presented as the Contest play. The senior play, 6cLife With Fatherff writ- ten by Clarence Day, rounded out the year in April. Al- though the senior play was actually sponsored by the sen- ior class, the Dramatics Club loaned their talent and ex- perience in making the effort a success. l-li-Y Helps Future Leaders Crow Hi-Y boys this year have co-operated with other Hi-Y groups to send a senior YMCA boy to Peru. Their main money-raising project for this purpose was a cookie sale. They also have gone to the YMCA -for recreation and have attended parties sponsored jointly by the Hi-Y and Tri-Hi-Y. Two members. Don Alexander and Tim Shaunty, were elected to go to the state convention in Austin to take part in the Youth Legislature. Hi-Y boys co-operate with the YMCA in trying to Create, maintain, and extend Christian attitudes throughout the home, work, and school. Mr. Alford, sponsor, takes out time to look over the Hi-Y records. Hi-Y officers, Don Haverkamp, Pat Cerrone, .loe Councill, Mike Smith, and Larry Madeksho -look over the results of the cluh's cookie sale.
