The teachers at South Houston, how- ever. show interesting and individual person- alities. Nlr. Rushing Manning, a civics teacher, is a former member of the Texas Legislature. Coach Buddy Gillioz was chosen to play in the East-West. Blue-Gray, and Chicago all- star games. He also received honorable men- tion as an all-American football player. Teachers at South Houston have also had many interesting experiences.
