That is one of the things that makes life worth living and causes us to plan our future. However, one thing is certain; when a moment passes it can never be recalled. It is gone forever. This is true of your high school years. They will soon be only memories. For many of you, these memories will be warm and tender because of the friendships you have developed, the accomplishments you have achieved, and the goals you have at- tained. I sincerely hope that you will aggressively seize each academic, economic, and social op- portunity that will enable you to achieve your dreams for the future. 46 ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL — LANNY WOODWARD A Message to Students . .. It is already tomorrow. Time, which never stops on its journey, will pass before your eyes, and in only a few moments you will be mem- bers of the community looking back on the years you spent at South Hopkins High School. When you do, the photos, facts, and memories in this book will be your stepping stones to a happy reminiscence. May your memories of South Hopkins High School be pleasant ones, and may your futures be filled with happiness and success. 47 TEACHERS WERE ASKED THIS QUESTION ...
