To begin, I want to say I have enjoyed my first year as assistant principal at South Hopkins. I would like to thank all the students, faculty, staff and especially Mr. Dunning for their cooperation and support throughout the year. My main concern at South Hopkins has always been to try to help make it the best school in the country. Whatever has been said or done, decisions that have been made, were always ren- dered with the best interest of the students at heart. If we keep this in mind and continue to work together. South Hopkins High School will always be number one in the country. I want to congratulate the Seniors for their accomplishments and wish them the very best for the future. I hope we have helped in some small way to prepare you for what lies ahead. Lanny R. Woodward

PRINCIPAL The appearance of the 1981 “ Memories'' marks the completion of another school year. The pages of this yearbook reflect the educational events and activities that will fill our memories for many years to come. We will remember with fondness the fnends we have made and the loyful moments we have experienced together. We should be thankful for the many things that we possess, God has blessed us in many ways, but our greatest blessing is that we have been given the ability to learn, and the opportunity to live and attend school in the greatest nation in the world. It is the hope of the South Hopkins faculty that each member of the student body will continue to take full advantage of these God given abilities and strive to become well informed and productive citizens. If our nation is to continue its progress we must inspire and educate our youth to develop their abilities to perform the tasks they will be assigned by the society in which the live. It is my pleasure to congratulate the Senior Class for their achievements and wish them much success in the future. Thank you very much for this year of association with a great student body. God bless you. William H. Dunning 18 Faculty
