DO YOU KNOW that if some other flag were represented here, rath- er than OLD GLORY”, we might not have taken the above photo- graph. .. (THINK ABOUT IT) 78 ( YOUNG AMERICA SPEAKS ) Young America Speaks, is a weekly radio program created and produced by Mr. William Agnew and his International Relations class. The class creates questions which deal with problems of our time, and how they might be solved. (SORRY) ’ This may not solve the world's problems,----- but it's good for a laugh 79 It may not be as great as the wheel, but it's mine .... SMILE YOU’RE ON CANDID CAMERA 80 Unless my hand cramps again maybe I can finish this letter before Mr. Dunn gets back, .... PLEASE! I would rather do this my- self.... 81 CHRISTMAS TIME AT SOUTH HOPKINS Joy to the world the Lord has come ........... Our student council presented a one act play depicting the normal confusion of a family at Christmas time. The stu- dents acted out the parts of both parents and the excited children. We the yearbook staff, would like to commend Mr. James Vaughan and the young men of the F. F. A. for their work in preparing gifts and food for needy families throughout the community. We are sure that their Christmas was an enjoyable one ....... 82 The ability to speak is one of our most treasured talents. It is our (best) source of communi- cation. These young people are to be complimented. They are trying to improve upon their God given talent. (Most of us do not). Until your child comes home from school and says; Hey mom or dad, guess what hap- pened at school today. 89 JUNIOR AND SENIOR PROM 66 Our 1966 prom (SHOWERS OF STARS), was presented to the seniors by the junior class as is traditional with South Hopkins. The theme was carried out in best style. Pink and white streamers made up the sides and the table canopy. Light and dark blue streamers, pulled up in a high-dome were highlighted by a chandelier that revolved and changed colors. 90 Prom time is a time of utter confusion, delight, anxiety, excitement, depression, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, empty pockets, angry parents and many se- vere headaches. ——----- — (But it s fun I guess.)
