Coach Jim Bastion Coach Dave Walesiak South Hills' Frosh team enjoyed a very successful season as they ended up on top of the Sierra League with a 7-1 record. The championship was decided on the final day of the season as the Huskies defeated Edgewood 16-O. John VanVuren. Brian Evans. and Jeff Yriarte led the offense as they accounted for most of the seasons touchdowns. Don Christy. Bill Sheehan and Kevin Gruber led the defensive team to five straight shutouts near the end of the season. Frosh-League Champions VanVuren catches another one! Bard plunges forward against Azusa.

They managed to lead the team to a 5- 4 record and to capture third in their league behind West Covina and Los Altos. Special mention should be given to Doug Smith and Mike Brink for receiving most valuable and most improved player respectively. 11,5
