The experience proved to be an illuminating one. Every part was in perfect order, uncon- scious of its own timing, yet in- dustriously concentrating on the particular task assigned it by the watchmaker. After a while, we closed the case and carefully ad- justed the watch on the wrist to which it belonged. Now we knew what made it tick! But what made us tick during those four years in South Hills? What part did we play? Let us sit down together and see for our- selves. Mr. Guy Robertson South Hills is not the same since Mr. Robertson retired in February. We miss his dry humor, cheery smile, his fine teaching. May health and happiness be his for a long, long time to come, and, for the present, may every day bring good fishing. Miss Ann Cameron lt has often been said that precious artic come in small packages. So, sometimes, wonderful people. One small woman, Miss I Cameron, has for years inspired many a So Hills student. Our Miss Cameron handled any and eve situation, whether it involved a seventh-per class on the last day of school or a husky, d orderly senior. No one was idle in room 2 nobody wanted to be. Not a student chev gum, tapped a pencil, or fidgeted. He was permitted, nor did he wish to. His inter was great, and he was busy. We have used the past tense above, for M Cameron retired last June, not merely to s at home but to travel and enjoy life genera She is still, however, a cherished member our school, She has always given us someth important never taught in books. 1 WX XVQI I! A-V, Hobbies make Mr. Fred Glaser, South Hills princ thinks highly of golf as a pleasant challenging means of relaxation. Onabi Saturday morning, Mr. Glaser, we imagine, takes his bags, gets into his and away he goes to his favorite cot Yet golf is but one of his numerous 'outs interests. Others include church vl reading, traveling, and gardening. fl beautiful blooms from his garden adorl office counter in season.b Mr McLaughlin Mr. Glaser M1-5 Interesting People May we present Dr. John McLaughlin, our vice-principal, in the role of gardener. As one may observe from the picture, Dr. McLaughlin is no amateur in gardening. Flowers from his gardens and greenhouse beautify the office the year round. Always, they have that professiona1 perfection that one associates with expensive flower shops. Our vice-principa1's green thumb is scien- tifically guided.
