To the faculty, who have even given us a helping hand We leave the best wishes of the Senior band Fay Chapman leaves her ability To keep quiet in class To Miss Mary Jane Northen A very pretty young lass. Eddie Harris to Brugess Hamlet Leaves his love for girls Blondes, brunettes, and red heads With straight hair or with curls. Jacqueline Forbes was left last year A freckle from Frank Nanney Now she leaves it to Mollie Does that seem uncanny? Rose Callahan leaves her blush To a boy named Charles Carter Sometimes a blush will help you along Although, it may make you no smarter. Ridgeway Edens divides his curls Among all the Junior girls Elizabeth Walker leaves her ability To play to Harriette Glass So that when the Juniors feel like singing She ' ll play for the class Ethel Crutchfield caught and held Her man from LaCrosse This ability, she leaves to Allyne Not sanying who is boss. Joyce Paynter, all her ex-boy friends Leaves to Virginia Flippen And hopes someday she ' ll land one And down the aisle go tripping. Douglas Bugg wills his sports ability To a Watkins boy, named Dick In hopes that someday out of this Dick will get a great Kick Yvonne Mewborn leaves her ability to the few; Who can ' t in class get along with the teachers For one she would never sass Helen Northington leaves J. L. Her curly hair Well, well, well, !!!!!!!! Ruby Norwood leaves her ability To dance to Jo Anne Bates And hopes for all the Proms She ' ll have plenty of dates, Robert Flippen ' s ability To pay his debts Is left to Bobby White You owe me (50 ?) Come on now make it right. Bobby Griffith the bus driver Who of course, was on time always Leaves this ability to a Junior Farewell, dear bus, he says. Irene Rutter leaves her A ' s In shorthand to Ellen Hill And may that class to Ellen Never be a pill. Patricia is left by Mary Watson Her ability to drive a car For a very special reason South Boston won ' t seem so far. Nora Willis wills, her worries in art To a Bobbitt girl named Ann And hopes she ' ll throw them away While doing the best she can. James Anderson, but not with glee. Leaves Jerry Sims His History Book three. To get along with Hampden-Sidney boys Her technique is swell This, Deanie Yale leaves To Janice Paige Wells. Betty McAden, the nightingale. Of our school. South Hill High Leaves to Barbara Ann Hall her voice So Barbara Ann now can rejoice. Billy Crowder likes to play football So Littleton Lewis is eager To leave Billy his weight So Billy will be bigger Jean Ann leaves her beautiful alto To Lucile Geoghegan So she can sing sweet and low. Ann Lee Hines leaves Betty Jean Watkins Her ability a car to drive Then when she wants to go some place No one else she ' ll have to connive. Her ability to talk Rose Lee leaves That ' ll give her tongue a rest To Emily Ison Because she thinks its best Nellie Hudson, to Bernice Smilley Leaves her ability to skate And if she takes it seriously She will be first rate. Her talent for English Is left by Mary Jane McCall To Dicky May he surpass them all Getting along with the latin book A hobby of the Ogburn girl, Jeanne This she leaves to Bunky Warren The rest is yet to be seen. To have and to hold a man from Ohio Is the ability of Virginia Smelley This she leaves to Juanita Allgood And hopes she can do that as well. Richard Tanner wills to Carlton Walker I ' m sure he ' ll be gald to hear it The dollar he owes him Although he may never come near it. His quietness, Edward Thompson leaves To Nickie who loves to talk a lot Maybe this will show her down We don ' t know whether it will or not. To Harold Burrell, Joe Wills His dogs and gun So come next fall He can get some hunting done. Harvey Moody wills his English Theme And his way with Mrs. McBride To a boy friend Lacy Norton May his conscience be his guide.
