Well, at South you can enter into athletic competition through the intramural program and experience all the thrills of victory and the agonies of defeat. Under the direction of Mr. Jim Moyers, intramural ' s director, students may participate on an individual bases in various sports before or after school. Young men and young women are given an opportunity to compete in tournaments of ping-pong, bowling, and free-throw shooting. At the end of the year winners are named, trophies are presented, and often challenges are made. This year Assistant Principal Ross Barrett challenged the champion ping-pong player and Pepper Bego, leading free-throw shooter from the varsity basketball team, challenged the champion free-throw shooter.
