Willie ' s Fan Club was made up of male and female students from the student body, any student who had lots of spirit and energy as well as a dedication to the spectator sports. The members attended all the home and away games, backed the team with spirit and noise, and promoted good sportsmanship. Pep Band, which was another important part of the Fans-ln-The-Stands, sounded off to a great season also. Pep Band was made up of members of the Marching Band who were chosen for this special group and was led by student directors, Kim Wipert and Judy Green. The Pep Band performed at all of the home games and morning pep rallies as well as often ending the day with the Wildcat Fight Song. Without the Fan Club and the Pep Band, South ' s games would never have been quite the same.
