A LOOK TO THE FUTURE Not all the clubs at South are spirit and fun oriented. Future Business Leaders and Future Homemakers of America are both organizations that are directly related to subjects that students take in school and possible to careers that they will follow after graduation. FBL was a small group this year that basically looked into the career possibilities offered in their chosen field of business. FHA, on the other hand, was a large organization that actively participated in many of the activities that are directly related to future job opportunities. They began their year by making and selling school pennants and then went on to participate in Mock Weddings and Pre-School Day Care. The final project for the FHA was the selling of green ribbons in memory of the slain children in Atlanta, Georgia. Both groups offered their members a chance to take a first hand look at possible career choices. 1. Shannon Taylor, Carlos Stone. 2. Ann Riggins. 3. Marie Channels. 4. Mrs. Myers. 5. UNO . ZWEI THREE The German, English, and Spanish Clubs are made up of students from South who are especially interested in these subjects. Although the English Club was not active this year, they had a large number of members and they are hoping that next year they will have an opportunity to become involved in more projects. The German Club became very visible second semester when they once again sold their delicious German Chocolate candy bars. In the spring the club took a special field trip to German Village in Columbus where they sampled native foods and visited German museums and gift shops. The big event for the Spanish Club was their annual ' Tiesta complete with Spanish food and games for all. When interviewed, each of the advisers had different feelings about the activities of the clubs this year. Mr. Alzner, German Club adviser, felt that this year was one of the best for his group but Mr. Wilson was disappointed in his English Club memberships ' lack of participation. Mrs. Braun spoke highly of the Spanish Club, stating that they were a strong group which had stayed active through the bad times as well as the good. I. Mr. Wilson. 2. Mrs. Braun. 3. Mr. Alzner. 4.
