SINGING TO THE WORLD i What would a program be without music? What would a school be without a song to hum through class? Life would not be the same without music and thus the choirs are important at South. Not only do they perform at school-oriented activities, they also perform for various organizations outside the school. They practice very hard for their programs and develope a feeling of harmony and togetherness. We learned to work together and through our work, we achieved an excellent rating at contest, said Joanna Shorpshire, the choir president. Mrs. Marshall really is proud of the all the choirs that she stages. I enjoy working with young people and performing groups, said Mrs. Marshall. Even though practices are long and hard, almost everyone enjoys the satisfaction of the final performance. I feel that choir is important because it gives us an opportunity to meet new people and to perform in front of audiences, said Becky Plant, a member of the choir.
