WE ARE THE SENIORS Seniors at last! was the thought of the members of the Class of ' 81 when they entered South in August, but few of the individuals realized the expense and the decisions that went with the hard-earned title. There were senior pictures, announcements, graduation gowns, class night, and a senior trip to pay for as well as vocational, college, and athletic decisions to be made. There were credits to be checked and last minute classes to be taken as well as officers to be elected, money to be raised, class trip locations to be selected, and class night plans to be made. Being a senior was not quite as easy as it seemed, but the class elected good officers and everything was soon running smoothly. Money for class activities was raised with the sale of M M ' s and the packing and distributing of what seemed like tons of fresh fruit from Florida. The class trip was schedules for Cedar Point and before long the final decisions of a class flower and motto were made. Being a senior really was quite easy when the officers did their best. When asked if he thought that the senior class officers accomplished their goals, Carlton Daniels replied, At the beginning of the school year, we knew that there would be expendi- tures that would have to be overcome and we came out comfortably on top. p.OR ' « )RID 1 n i m SENIOR CLASS AND OFFICERS 15
