A NIGHT TO REMEMBER It was a night when blue jeans and t-shirts were left hanging on the back of the chair and suddenly yesterday ' s tomboy became today ' s beauty queen. It was Prom Night and formals, tuxedos, corsages and boutonnieres were suddenly the in attire as members of the junior and senior class arrived at South for a special end-of-the- year event. Prom in the cafeteria didn ' t sound too exciting until the students arrived and found that the Commons area was hardly recognizable. Tables placed around the balcony above the dance floor and benches scattered across the front lawn so that couples could stroll around the campus or sit out a dance in the cool breeze of the evening made a perfect setting for the Junior-Senior Prom. It was a night filled with pleasant memories of soft music, dreamy dances and a special date. PROM 135
