Oliver Wendell Holmes Any school that stands still is not responding to the purpose for which it was created. South is not standing still. South is on the move. just as the world has advanced to satisfy manls basic desire for betterment, so has South striven to meet its stu- dents, need for excellence. Enthusiastic support of the team during our football victory over Kapaun, the first in Southis eight-year history, plus the 200 car Homecoming caravan were results of the Colo- nel's increased participation for the improvement of their school. As the world has expanded its frontiers, South has pioneered in an unprecedented program of edu- cation for the blind. The administrators were not the only ones to initiate a new direction of develop- ment, the students themselves undertook the suc- cessful and diflicult production of 'fWest Side Sto- ry.', Experiences of the 1966-67 year must not be al- lowed to becomejust memories, however. They must become the source of motion which propels each student in new and exciting directions. 7 A--V 5, Q, 1, wi tw 1 ,, S 7 V 51, e 1 if 5: i iT 5 i. Q P 4 .1 f- 1?
