She received her high school education at Vincentian Academy and her college education at Duquesne University. MR. GEORGE GEIS teaches both French and Sociology. He attended Oak- mont High School and Grove City Col- lege. ff X .2 an MR. THOMAS HAWKINS leads the South High Chorus. He attended Mones- sen High School and Duquesne Univer- sity. He considered a career as a Brain Surgeon, English 12, Word Study, and Speech are taught by MR, JOHN FORSYTH. He attended McKeesport High School and Duquesne University. MR. NICHOLAS GENTILE, a graduate of Homestead High School, teaches Math. He also attended the University ot Pittsburgh, the University of Southern Calilornia, and Pennsylvania State Uni- versity. Health and Physical Education are also taught by MS. PATRICIA HECKEL. After attending Mt. Lebanon High School she received her BS. Degree at Slippery Rock State College and her M.A. Degree at New York University, If she had not chosen teaching as a career, she would have been making money. I .b f. ANGELO FRANK, He received his high school education at Taylor Allderdice and his college education at Lenoir Rhyne. Typing l and Production Typing are taught by MS. MARY ANN HARTLEY. She received her high school education at Munhall and her college education at Carnegie Mellon University. She would have been an Executive Secretary il she had not chosen teaching as a career. Accounting, Business Office Practice, and Typing are taught by MRS. MARCIA K. HILL. She is a graduate ol Mcl-Ceesport High School and the University of Pitts- burgh.

Before teaching Chemistry, DR. PAUL F. ANATER attended South Allegheny High School and the University of Pitts- burgh. If he had not chosen teaching as a career, he would have been famous, MR. ROBERT BELICH would have been a Naval officer if he had not decided to teach Health and Physical Education. He attended Duquesne High School, Slip- pery Rock State College, and West Vir- ginia University. MR. J. P. CARR'S Social Studies courses include American and World His- tory. In addition to receiving his high school education at Duquesne, he attended Gannon College, Duquesne University, and Carnegie Mellon Univer- sity. If Mr. Carr had not chosen teaching as a career, he would have been a Bull- dozer operator, I ln addition to teaching English, MR. EDWARD BAHLER instructs the reins- tated Latin courses. He received his high school education at Central Catholic, Oakland, and his college education at St. Vincent, Duquesne. MR. THOMAS BREZNAI attended St. Adalbert and West Mifflin North before majoring in English at Duquesne Univer- sity. Career possibilities included a Cath- olic Priest or an Air Force officer. MR. FRANK DiRlTO is a new addition to the English Department. He attended Ellsworth High School and the Duquesne University. It he had not decided to be a Teacher, he would have considered being a Social Worker or a Counselor. .i,. . Teaching was MRS. FRANCES F. BAI- LEY'S first choice for a career, but her alternative might have been Engineering, Geometry, Algebra l, and Metrics are the subjects she teaches. She attended McKeesport High School and Marietta College, Ohio. Wood Shop and Engineering Drawing l are taught by MR, DONALD BUGAJSKI. He attended Gateway High School, Mon- roeville, and California State College. The newest member of the faculty is MR. VITO DiSALVO, a South graduate. He has become a fine addition to the Music Department as the instructor of the Orchestra. He continued his education at Duquesne University and the University of Miami. Even though a career as a Chef was possible, Mr. DiSalvo admits, My Orchestra cooks now!

MR. W. JANOSIK teaches Art and is a graduate of West Mifflin North High School, Edinboro State College, and the University of Pittsburgh. He would have been a Jockey OJ if he had not chosen teaching as a career. Business Education is taught by MS. LOUISE MENDELSON, a graduate of Taylor Allerdice. She received her Bache- lor's Degree at the University of Pitts- burgh and her Master's Degree at Duquesne University. If Ms. Mendelson had not chosen teaching as a career, she would have been a Dietician. Various Business Subjects are taught by MRS. BESS PETERS, a graduate of Huntington High School and Marshall University. She would have been a Lion Trainer if she had not chosen teaching as a career. MRS. PAT KARAS supplemented the teaching of Business Correspondence, Business Law, and Business Math during the absence of Mrs. Peters. She is a grad- uate of South and the University of Pitts- burgh. Her response to an alternate career - That's a good question! DR. F, C. NAPlER teaches Biology, B.S.C.S., and Advanced Biology. He attended St. Andrew's and Curtiss High Schools in New York, Columbia Univer- sity, and the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Napier is assured that he would be mar- ried if he had not chosen teaching as a career. Family Living, Child Development, lnte- rior Design, and Clothing are taught by MRS. BARBARA M. PRATT. She attended Mars High School in Mars, Pa., and Carnegie Mellon University, If she had not chosen teaching as a career, she would have been a Custom Dressmaking Shop Owner. Mrs. Pratt has one child in the ninth grade and three in college for fall '79. MR. RON MARKIEVVICZ, a raduate ot Braddock High School and genn State, teaches Driver's Education. He has never thought about the career he would have chosen instead of teaching. MR. DANIEL O'KEEFE teaches stu- dents ofthe Academic Curriculum Enrichment Program CACEJ on a part time basis, MR. GEORGE PRICE is another new face on the faculty, although, he only teaches Physics part time. He attended Central Catholic High School and the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Price would have been an Engineer if he had not cho- sen teaching as a career.
