The lnterclub Council is made up of the presidents of the various clubs throughout the school. They are in charge of setting up meeting dates for the different organizations and make arrangements for Homecoming. Jr P.l.A. STUDENTS First Row: Ed Droppa, Jim Lemmon, Alan Mahoney, Second Ftow: Bob Smithberger, Fred Frey, Tim Grzes, David Ridenour. P.l.A. CPittsburgh institute of Aeronauticsj is a technical school for students planning a career in aeronautics. These students study aircraft main- tenance on engines and engine accessories, and learn how to completely overhaul an aircraft engine and the inspection of all parts. They also must study information dealing with weight and balance, electricity, electronics, blueprint read- ing, drafting, and the theory of flight. The grading system is higher than that of a regular high school class. After 2 years of study at P.l.A., these stu- dents will receive their power plant license after passing an FAA test. P.l.A. is located by the Alle- gheny County Airport.
