Blend In A Spirited South Tiger Homecoming Homecoming this year was bigger than ever with alot of the students and staff showing spirit. Throughout the week many activities were held. Monday was preparation day for the activities. Tuesday started the spirit by students wearing their favorite buttons. Wednesday was dress up day and along with it came Coronation, the crowning of Queen Wendy Larsen, and King Charlie Dillon. This year there were 20 candidates in all. There was a talent show for the first time during the Coronation program. The talent was chosen from the many who tried out. Thursday, unique and original hats were worn. The biggest day of the week was Friday. It started out with the judging of the door decorating contest. Then as the spirit was building up, judges were making decisions on the best float and car. The gym was filled to capacity with rowsing, cheering fans at the pep fest. The parade was very successful with many car and float entries. The game was held under overcast skys, and our spirits were dampened not only by the weather, but by the 28-7 loss to Edison. This years Homecoming Dance was attended by the most students ever, with 536 people dancing to the music of Midwest Sound. 9 Homecoming — 11
