Snow Is Plentiful For South High’s 1982 Sno-Daze Week! Sno-Daze week was hard for the Student Union to schedule this year because of all of the different school activities taking place. A date was found and Sno-Daze was held the week of February 1-5. Throughout the week many memorable events were held. Monday was Hat Day. Tuesday was Inside Out and Backwards Day. The Snow Olympics was held on Wednesday. which was also 50's Day. The Coronation of the 1982 Sno-Daze King and Queen. Randy Brekhus and Sue Barge, was held on Thursday. Friday was the grand finale with the basketball team's defeat over Roosevelt and the victory dance afterward in the South High Commons. 1. The 1982 Sno-Daze Queen. Sue Barge and King. Randy Brekhus. 2. Volleyball was Paulette Dixon's game. 3. Mrs. Johnson and Mr. Webert took part in hockey. 4. Cory Hermann and Karen Moline got into 50's day by dressing up. 5. Deanne Knudtson. Dan Venier. and Cathy Taplin showed that things were a little backwards on Tuesday. 6. Randy Greeler puts on an unusual hat for Monday. 7. Karin Gustafson sings a song from the musical Marne.” 8. During class. Jessica Edwards daydreams of being on a safari adventure. 9 Sue Barge expresses her excitement as she is crowned Sno-Daze Queen, 10. It Was “Ladies Night” As South’s Gals Corralled Their Guys For 1981 Sadie! Sadie Hawkins this year wuz more fun than a bale a' hay in springtime! It wuz held on October 24, at Fish Lake Ranch. Buses left South at 6:15 to take students to a good ole' fashioned hoe-down. Once there, you could git yer pictures taken. go on a hayride. git married by Marryin' Sam or square dance till yer suspenders fell off! We had a mighty good jail this year, with Beaufford T. Crenshaw as head sheriff, and deputies Connie and Nikki Ro-dacker and Lori Schuda. Sheriff Crenshaw reports that Paul Dixon wuz locked up the most. — Betcha Melanie Frazier had fun gittin him out! Best costume winners wuz Leeann Gossman and Rodney Lossow. The temperature wuz cool this year to say the least, but if y'all kept on movin', it wasn’t too bad. Sadie Hawkins — 19
