What should I wear? . . . How should I wear my hair? . . . What should l do? Decisions, Decisions, Decisions! Welcome To The 80's These are some of the most popular fashions and fads of todays teenagers. We all have our own styles and favorites but these seem to head the list. Straight legged jeans, cords and bib-overalls are popular with both guys and girls. High tops and a variety of different brands of tennis shoes like Nikes, Puma, Converse and Tigers are popular with mostly all of South's students. Clogs and slides are being worn by the girls. Looking around school at the popular hair styles, perms and short feathered hair is in, although long hair seems to be coming back, at least with some people. Music is an important part ot most teenagers lives. If it's not Disco, it's Rock. Most of the students are into one or the other. One of the most popular T.V. shows is Mork and Mindy and the movie that everyone is going to see is Aimal House . t'Amityville Horror also was a leading movie this year. 6 it 5 u . 7 9 Theme

Fund Raising Activities Popular Af South This year there has been a lot of fund raising activity to get money for different groups around school. Why do groups do fund raising? When we asked some of the people who sold things what the money went for, we found out the following. The music department sold Happenings Books to help pay for their outfits for South Singers and Jazz Band, and also to help pay for their trip to Hawaii. The yearbook staff sold candy and pennants to help keep up the standards of quality of the yearbook to compensate for the decline in sales and enrollment. The Tigeretts sold jewelry to help pay for their uniforms. There was a Spaghetti Dinner and Hayride, and also kazoos and roses were sold by the Seniors to help build up the senior class treasury. Juniors had a slave day to help their class raise money. All in all many things were sold by a variety of South High groups to make this year a better one financially. teen: 12 Theme Money! Money!
