Night Life Varies T 0 Suit The Tastes Of South Students What does the location White Sands , the number 16, and the letters B.Y.0. mean to you? lt you're a normal South student, it means party! A common topic in the commons during lunch on any given Friday is, where's the party? But during the week the activities are not as wild. The things students do t'Atter Dark consist basically of working, going to movies, studying, watching T.V., cruising and even an occasional party just for the heck of it. Cruising the night away is common for guys to pick up girls and vice versa. Cruising isn't only confined to South Minneapolis, sometimes people cruise from Minneapolis to as tar away as New Hope. Movies are a popular night time activity just as going to work on the weekends is an unpopular activity, or doing homework or just watching T.V. What should I wear? . . . How should I wear my hair? . . . What should l do? Decisions, Decisions, Decisions! Welcome To The 80's These are some of the most popular fashions and fads of todays teenagers. We all have our own styles and favorites but these seem to head the list. Straight legged jeans, cords and bib-overalls are popular with both guys and girls. High tops and a variety of different brands of tennis shoes like Nikes, Puma, Converse and Tigers are popular with mostly all of South's students. Clogs and slides are being worn by the girls. Looking around school at the popular hair styles, perms and short feathered hair is in, although long hair seems to be coming back, at least with some people. Music is an important part ot most teenagers lives. If it's not Disco, it's Rock. Most of the students are into one or the other.
