Student Union Sponsors Many School Wide Actjvmes This year's Student Union was very active in school activities. They sponsored the Homecoming and Sno-Daze dances as well as a Holiday Disco. Also, during Homecom- ing week, they sponsored the hayride and door prize con- test. Members sold candy canes and suckers during the holiday season, and gave all of the teachers apples. A display case was set up with a calendar and other notices of events as well as pictures of Homecoming and Sno-Daze royalty. The Union tried to generate school spirit but unfortunately it died and a funeral was held in the commons in January. Class OfHcers This year the Sophomores got off to a late start. They didn't know what the procedures were for getting involved. After the nomina- tions, the candidates had three days for cam- paigning. They gave speeches and the next day the voting took place. Juniors were concerned with getting the class involved more by having more fund raisers and class activities. They were trying to prepare for their Senior year by building the foundation for 1980. This is the last year for the Senior class. When they started in the 10th grade, their goals were to have a lot of class spirit and enthusiasm. Although there could have been more participa- tion over all, it has been 3 great years for the class of 79 .
