Juniors Are South’s Spirited Middlemen The junior class this year, switched back from last year’s administrative situation. This year instead of just having a cabinet, the juniors decided to elect officers to rule their class. The election was a close one. numerous signs dotted the auditorium wall in the commons during election time. Out of the elections emerged Chuck Vifquain as president. Cheryl Christianson vice president and Nancy Nelson as secretary-treasurer. The closeness of the contest proved the spirit of the class of 74. The juniors promptly sponsored a sucker sale, a skating party over the holidays and the wrestling match during Sno-Daze week, with more activities planned for the year. The juniors are now the middlemen, looking back at last year's sophomore year with some regrets and fond memories, and looking ahead to next year's senior year with anxiousnessand anticipation. The junior ushers club was headed by advisor. Mr Al Phil-strom. The ushers from left to right are. Nancy Dean. Kath” Batchelder. Jeff Grilley. Mary Wigen. Brian Westby. Amy Christensen. Cindy Link. Janice Pederson. Terry Jensen and Sue Melquist. They ushered at all of South's afterschool events, concerts, plays, and programs. They are the only strictly Junior service organization.
