OF SNO-DAZE! Our winter school days were climaxed by the traditional Sno-daze events, which seemed to be exceptionally exciting for Nineteen-Seventy. During the week of February 23 through the 27, the fun-filled events accelerated to the major one, the coronation program and ceremonies. The program, directed by Mr. Schell, opened with a dance number by our versatile Tigerettes, dressed as hoboes frolicking in a park! The Liverpool Scene, which was entered in state competition, was the next segment of the well-organized program. This scene reflected hours of practice, unlimited talent, and willingness to share talents with an appreciative audience. Then came the long-awaited coronation of Queen Becky Brennan and King Keith Hardeman. Candidates were, left to right, Mary Bonrud, Marty Duda, Janet Silbernagle, Andy Semiles, Melanie Jensen, Keith Hardeman, Joe Krugeur, Becky Brennan, Tom Doble, Joan Davis, Mark Nault, and Sue Bergeson. Cast of nine make up The Liverpool Scene. 15

I REMEMBER MAMA 1970 has been a year of growth for our drama department. Our class play this year reflected this growth. A great deal of hard work and talent went into the production of I Remember Mama. Lead roles were portrayed by Bonnie Meyer, Joe Krueger, and Georgia Wettlin. Mr. Schell, the director of the play, stated that This is the best acting job I've had from a cast. Natural talent and hard work made the play a great success. Later in the year Mr. Schell will direct the variety show, entitled Three Cheers and a Roar. With the stage of the new South, the growth of the drama department will be unlimited next year.
