South High School held its first gradua- tion exercises in 1892. At that time, the faculty consisted of 20 members. Since then, we have grown to the present staff of 65 members. Through the years, our faculty has not forgotten that an impor- tant part of any young person's education is learning to become a good citizen. Our faculty strives to make each graduate of South High a well informed citizen, eager The greatness of any nation is likely to be measured by its development of two main resources. On the one hand there are the natural resources of the country, the land, the minerals, the forests and all of the gifts of nature. The other important thing to consider is the development of the human resources available. Here education plays a vital role. We must be sure that we develop the ability of our people to think, to perform, and to behave in a rational manner. The faculty at South High School has done its utmost to instill in you students the knowledge, attitudes and skills neces- sary so that you may contribute to our national welfare. lt is our wish that those of you who are graduating to go on to further endeavors will not forget the les- sons that you have learned at South High School. For those of you who will return next year, we are looking forward to a continuation of the fine progress that you have made this year. Good luck to all of you. Guam...
