Uflgdftbydffffdftdf Beanies, candy, pens, these symbols signify a phase of our school life in which we can serve our fellow class- mates and teachers better, plus enioying school life more. Every student at South has the opportunity to loin and partici- pate in an organization. These clubs give the student a chance to become a worth- while citizen and an asset to his com- munity. Though belonging to a club in- volves a lot of time and work, the friends one has gained will always remain in his memory. Years ago the purpose of school was only academic, but now school is made more interesting with extra-curricular activities. Just think what South would be like without an annual staff or a school newspaper! Once there were no such things and they still don't have them in many foreign countries. Way back in l907 South had two clubs, but now we have a much bigger field to select from-thirty-three in all. Since we have all these clubs, why not take advantage of them in your remain- ing years at South? B. Carlson, C. Carlbom, K. O'Donnell, M. Burns, B. Loclden. G. Burch, P. Nelson, G. Mason.
