 P. Forsyth, L Jensen I). Tenney, M. Tangen In today’s school there’s something for every ability and every interest of ever)- student. In fact, Andy doesn’t have to fit himself to school; the school attempts to fill his every need. There is such a variety of subjects that sometimes he has a hard time limiting his program. Headin', rilin', and 'rithmetic, symbolic of the “I.ittle Red School Mouse” are still a part, but only a very small part, of the curriculum. F). Davis, K. Ilia. A. Hove 14 I.. Bremer. J. Petryk

K. I .a nr, G. Swnrstad, I). Trow M. Olsen, A. Pihlstrom Yesterday's school began at 6:00 a.m. Today’s at 8:20. 8:20? Well, most of us slide into homeroom on time — 8:20 b! Master Andrew of Ye Old Little Red School House started out for school after eating a hurried breakfast of porridge. His little satchel contained an ink horn, a quill pen, a knife for sharpening pencils, and a few sheets of paper. Today’s modern Andy starts for school after eating well — nothing! His satchel — if he carried one — would probably contain — maybe his lunch! Master Andrew studied, memorized, and learned “Old English, German. Italian. Greek. Latin, and other “easy subjects. What no Arabic? R. KorI, C. Hutchins E. Bruce 13 F. Benner, B. Atkins

H. Hurd, E. Frazier, I). Nyholm L. Mona, B. Marconett In addition. Andy now is also offered such subjects as these: manual arts, mechanical drawing, and woodworking. Sue may lake fashion designing, secretarial practice, or foods. The Andy or Sue of today’s school gets out of school only what he or she puts into it. Driver's training, occupational relations, and world problems — these are a few more of the subjects now offered to both Andy and Sue. Truly the graduate of today’s school should be prepared for life — its opportunities and its challenges. C. EllilT, A. Ixre, E. Roll 19 S. Bostrom. R. Peterson
