In looking back twenty-five years, even fifty years, we realize that despite superficial changes in styles, times, and traditions, basically we, the graduates of 1950, are the same as the graduates of 1900 or 1925. We wish, as they did, to leave a record of achievements, a token of happy moments, a hint of our futures. This book will be a key, opening the door of the past; a bridge spanning the memories of days gone by and the actualities of today. Through these pages the class play, the prom, homecoming, and the championship games, as well as pleasant thoughts of teachers and friends, will be revived and relived. To keep memories fresh, to please the casual reader, and to leave an account of the graduating senior class of 1950 — these are the aims of the staff of the Mid-century Tiger. 4
