“MEMORIES, MEMORIES” As a freshman, sophomore, and junior one is always looking into the future toward graduation, and ttien when one's senior year rolls around one's heartbeat quickens at the thought—Graduation. Each one has both happy and sad memories about it. Though the thought of leaving South would make anyone sad. everyone hopes for future happiness. In the pictures below are seniors on their graduation day. In the upper left hand corner is the January class of 1949 on Senior Day. In the upper right hand corner are a few members of the June class measuring up gowns for Senior Day. Pictured in the lower right and left are the Commencement exercises of the January class.

“ISN’T LOVE GRAND!’’ When a young man's fancy turns to the things that girls have been thinking about all winter, this is usually the result. Below are pictured some of the familiar faces we see together each day. South would never be the same without them.

“DREAM OF LOVE SO TRUE” What more could one ask for in a dream than a pretty queen and a few wonderful auditoriums? Well, here are a few dreams that did come true. Pictured in the upper left is our Ice Carnival Queen, Donna Hruby. and her attendants. Donna was crowned queen in the Arena by Dave Rasmussen. President of the Student Council. In the upper right is a scene from an auditorium sponsored by the Southerner Staff. In the lower left is a scene from another auditorium sponsored by the Tiger Staff, and in the lower right is a scene from a professional demonstration on liquid air.
