September 26. Milo Christenson was elected president of the A Senior Cass. September 26. South took Central 13 to 0 in their second home game. October 2. The South High Red Cross Chapter sponsored a Sunlight Hop in the boys gym. October 2. Dick Opdehl was elected president of the National Honor Society. October 3. South bowed to West. 25 to 20. in the toughest loss of the season. October 10. The Washburn passing attack surprised the Tigers to the tune of 14 to 6. October 17. South's Homecoming saw Edison s Undefeated Inventors held to a 6-6 tic. October 20-22. The Student Council sponsored a successful community fund drive. October 23. The class picture was taken. I Dare You awards were given to Catherine Esplin and Gordon Esterly. May 15. The B Seniors held a semi-formal prom for the graduating seniors. May 21. Fifty-one members were initiated into the National Honor Society. May 22. The June graduating class presented You Can't Take It With You as their class play. It was Tiger Day and Letter Day. May 29.
