I3-South won their tirst 'Football game from North by a score ot 25 to 6. I8-New addition is dedicated. South I-lomecoming buttons went on sale: the theme is Washout Washburn. 2O-South vs. Marshall at Marshall. South lost by a score ot I2 to 7. 27-South I-Iigh School Follies are presented in the audi- torium. 26-Homecoming Oueen, Pearl Palmer, was presented to the students and otficially crowned. 26-National Honor Society elected Robert Witte as its presi- dent. ' -Homecoming and South washed out Washburn by a score Ot 27 to I3. -Roosevelt vs. South at Roosevelt. South lost by the score ot I4 to I2. - A Senior Class Picture was taken. Mar Apri April April April May May May May May May May May May June June Tiger Memories Secancfgefnwim 29-School opened with an enrollment of 2,749. 2-South played Edison at basketball and lost by a 36-3I score. 6-South trounced the North hockey team by the score of 7-2. 7-Harriet Riggs was elected president of Student Council. 9-South dumped an undefeated North basketball team by the thrilling score of 38-37. I3-South's hockey team defeated Washburn 3-2. I6-South ran over Central in basketball by a score of 43-29. 20-South beat Roosevelt in hockey by a score of 2-I to finish the season in a tie for first place. 22-ln the hockey play-off South lost to an underdog West team by a score of I-O. 23-Roland Foss was elected president of the June class. 27-The South sextet beat Washburn 3-I to take third place in the city. 28-Lyle Jacobson was elected president of the National Honor Society. I-South's basketball team nosed out Washburn 38-36. Pat McGinnis scored 23 points to clinch an all-city berth and the high scoring honors of the season. 2-South's chess team won the championship, though losing to Washburn by a score of 3-2. I5-An impressive early morning Easter service was sponsored by the Hi-Y Club. I7- The Wearing of the Green. 26-Pep meeting was held to further the sale of band buttons. 30-City-wide button sale. 3-The South High boxing team sponsored an evening band benefit show. 17-An evening band concert and dance were given for the benefit of the band. 26-Further Education Week. 26-The Sienna Club from the Holy Rosary Church presented a minstrel show, The Opera House Mystery as a benefit performance for the band. -The G. A.A. and Edda Clubs gave a joint band benefit dance in the evening. 8-A sixth period student talent program was given. IO-The B Seniors held a semi-formal prom for the graduating seniors. -Forty-two new members were initiated into the National Honor Society. -National Goodwill Day is observed at South. 23-The June graduating class presented Seventeen as their class play. --Senior Extra Day. -Tiger Day-Letter Day. 3l-Cap and Gown Day. 2-Baccalaureate Services were held in school auditorium. 6-Commencement exercises were held for the members of the June class in the Minneapolis Armory.
