For the first time all students on hall duty were called together by the council to discuss problems and their solutions. The constitution was revised so that the citizenship chairman would be elected in the spring, thus making it easier to organize a smoothfworking hall system the first week of school. The constitution was also amended so it would be more democratic in representation and so stu' dents would have a better chance to participate. At least one member from each session room is elected in the fall. Every club and almost every student participated in the annual Kopper Karnival which was extremef ly successful this year. Boh and Verna Grooters were elected president and secretary ref spectiyely of the Student Council at an allfliigh school caucus held in Iviay, 1938. The president, secretary, and citi:enship chair' man for '39540 were elected the second Wediiesf day in Iviay this year at a similar assemhly. The campaigning done this year hy yarious candidates was almost as colorful as the campaigns hefore the senior elections, especially Williani Kloosterman's tour of the nation. -vu Y-TT! you OFFICERS Thirtytwo prominent senior hoys constituted the first memhership in the Ushers Cluh which was originated hy the Student Council this year. This group executed 'various plans of entering the auditorium for assemhlies. These plans were created hy the ushers in conjunction with the asf semhly hoard. Asseinhlies were planned and selected hy the assemhly hoard with the cooperation of Mr. Lester C. Doerr. :X group of fifteen Npaidu assemhlies were engaged for the school year.
