Mr. Robert Tombrinck, left, and Mr. Dale Marcum, right, guidance instruc- tors, converse with Mr. C. A. Sheets, vet- eran boys' counselor, about problems of freshman students. More than any other South faculty members, the counselors deal most directly with the drama of life, and their collective services are designed to produce a happy ending. They work withthe students of their respective classes to plan a cur- ricular program which will insure a scholastic growth, meet their needs while they are in school, and prepare them for whatever course seems most advisable after graduation. In addition they aid their counselees in solvingpersonalproblems and show them the advisability of continuing their schooling and attending classes regularly. Junior and senior counselors also assist their charges in obtaining part-time and post graduationjobs and in securing information on colleges and scholarships.
