TTLQS A very memorable year has passed. Cherished by the memory of things large and small, by the intangible something that South High offered each of us, the year gone by has been built with love and respect for our school. Kindled by the warmth of friendship and the glow of democracy and tolerance, our year has been united with our spirit and the fun of countless activities made worthwhile with the knowledge we gained in classes. All these things and many others have been fused together in forming this year by our master Welder, Dr. Backman, who has carefully guided us with the patience and wisdom he has gained through his service and love for South. South High symbolizes a tradition, a tradition of greatness, ask any true South- erner and he'll tell you. This conviction will become stronger, for South High is a way of life which forms and molds and will leave an undeniable imprint upon each of us.
