Board oi Control Like the quality folk of the gran' ole South, the Board of Control has taken over all the student-body problems of the past year. These students have represented the school in the best way possible. The success ot the noon dances and Misfit Day was directly due to 'these elegant Southerners. The Board of Control also showed the hospitality and courteousness ot the sunny South when they escorted the many visitors through our halls. Student Body President . . . Student Body Gtticers Nothing Was ever accomplished Without a leader. Art Gilbert, with his co-officers, has shown the steadtastness, the courage, and the loyalty that marked the old time War Leaders ot the South. They made certain that We had plenty of assemblies, dances, and all forms ot celebrations, yet at the same time urged us to study and thus prepare ourselves to go out into the World and meet its problems unilinchingly. We are proud-very proud of these officers, who helped to make l935-6 a banner year. The Southern friendliness at school this year was due largely to these leaders: President ........... .......... The situation: A national emergency, thousands of homeless human beings: and South, largely through the work of the House of Delegates, went over the top.
