wmZwmmH:Om EXECUTIVE Deans If there is any one thing which We have learned from our contacts with the boys of South High School, it is that no one person has a monopoly on the world's problems. No matter what your particular role in society may be, do not criticize your part in the play, study it, understand it, and play it with faith, courage, and with proper grace. MR. PIERSON, Dean of Boys. U The great problem for every high-school student is to discover his life's Work, to make his preparation for it the most thoroughgoing possible, and thereafter to pursue it with unwavering diligence and enthusiasm. Purpose and foresight are two of the most marked characteristics of a strong personality. May each of us make this close of another school year a stepping-stone toward this goal. Let us remember our mistakes only to profit by them, and our success only to point to bigger ones. ELVA L. COTTERELL, Dean of Girls. X f In .f 1 f 14 - .2 X 1 f --W. L. f -v X ' l .J x J I Xgfifafxf. Student Body Gtticers Nothing Was ever accomplished Without a leader. Art Gilbert, with his co-officers, has shown the steadtastness, the courage, and the loyalty that marked the old time War Leaders ot the South. They made certain that We had plenty of assemblies, dances, and all forms ot celebrations, yet at the same time urged us to study and thus prepare ourselves to go out into the World and meet its problems unilinchingly. We are proud-very proud of these officers, who helped to make l935-6 a banner year. The Southern friendliness at school this year was due largely to these leaders: President ........... ..........
