South High School June 1957 and January 1958 Principal Wayne G. Smith Graduates: The spectacular changes socially and economically confronting our country today necessitates an ever-increasing demand for continued education. When fortified with a high school diploma as a background, the youth of today is better prepared to meet the demands of these ever-changing conditions. He must keep his education abreast of the time after graduation and on until the end of life. Never has there been greater opportunity for the practical application of education. The events of the past few years have demonstrated how quickly the world moves. Just as our armies and machines of yesterday have become obsolete today, the previous training of an individual is not sufficient to meet the demands of our progressive world. Yours truly, Wayne G. A Cappella We will put him in the stocks' South-Marshall game The band, through its daily outdoor rehearsals, has given the football season an added color.
