FACULTY COUNCIL The purpose of the Faculty Council is to work with the school administration of Lima South to aid in solving teacher administration problems. The council acts as a liason body between staff and administration. This year the Faculty Council has worked with the administration in establishing an in-service training pro- gram for teachers. The first step in this year's program was the polling of the faculty to determine the prob- lems on which the group wanted to work. The group selected the general topic School Discipline. The subdivisions of the main topic were as follows: 1. Homerooms and classrooms 2. Study hall and school assemblies 3. Corridors, stairs and school property 4. Out of school behavior 5. Community views on discipline The faculty divided itself into five groups, studied one of the topics, and reported their findings to the faculty at a general teachers meeting. The meetings ranged from February 5 to April 1, 1953. SECRETARIES The secretarial work at South High School was done by Miss Sharon Wren fstandingl and Miss Flora Cardone Cseatedh. -11-
