ll .7 ggeiaizsnrv' ?l1lll,.Hlgw,,L ' The Class of '25 By Betty Lengel Farewell, dear Alma lVIater, Dear teachers, classmates true, The time has come for us to leave And start careers anew. Our school life here is ended, No more we'll roam the hallsg For we must follow and obey - When a stronger impulse calls. VVe've been loyal to every phase Of school life, here at South. Faithfully we've worked, and Willing, every year at South. Proudly we have waved on high Our colors, blue and gold. Oft times to victory we've cheered Our warriors, brave and bold. Oh, it's six long years we've spent here Six happy, care-free years Filled with joys that now must cease As graduation nears. And we recall good times we've had As it nears the time to part, For they'll soon be but memories Treasured in our hearts. Oh, it seems unfair that we must leave Old South, old Gold and Blueg It's hard to think that the school we've loved Must at last be bid adieu. Yet we cannot linger here for aye, Like others, we too pass by To seek what life holds for us, far From the portals of South High. So farewell, dear Alma Mater, Dear teachers, classmates true, May your school life carry on E'en though ours is through. And- when we've begun new lives ln thelworld beyond, K May the memory of our spirit Inspire you on and ,on. K L! 2, J 1 f !T':2:i. at W1 l - 5 fxli.,-, dll ' l 5' -- gi: 1 X.
