Degree from the University ot Pittsburghg and also pursued graduate study there. Taught school at New Brighton, Pa. lor live years. ln his last three years, served at Principal as well as teacher. Served as Chemistry teacher at South High School for six years. At Schenley High taught Chemistry and later became Vice-Principal. As Principal organized the Her' ron Hill Iunior High School. Has tilled for eight years his present position, Principal ot Peabody High Shcool. ORIOLE i T1-.l 1-li- . Bertram Rodgers Received appointment to U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis during Senior Year at South High School. Graduated from Naval Acad' emy in 1916. During the war helped trans- port the Yankees across to France while stationed aboard the U. S. S. South Carolina. Spent next eight years at Coco Solo on the eastern coast ol Panama working on board submarines. Took to lighter-than-air craft then and tor seven years worked in this division of the Naval Department. Served as Lieutenant-Com- mander on the dirigibles, Los Angeles, Akron, and Macon. Went to Balboa on the west- ern coast ot Panama his present position, alter spending fifteen months on the U. S. Destroyer Blakely. Now supervises, as Captain of the Port, the coming and going ot all ships in the Panama Canal. .191 .i l l937 l
