Last Spring the faculty chose Jackie on the basis of leadership and scholarship to represent South High at the annual summer meetings of California Girls' State. ln June Jackie met with hundreds of fellow seniors-to-be at the Davis campus of the University of California, near Sacramento. To learn by doing, the organization's motto, was put into vp practice when full-scale state, county and city governments were set up.
