The season was climaxed when the following players were voted on the All-League team: Joe Austin, Mike Czarske, Bill Hargrove, Dennis Higgins, Bolo Wehrhan and Roger Smith. Cliff Roy was voted to the honorable men- tion list. The Varsity Football team three years ago was composed of Freshmen and Sophomores. As the Spartans' head coach for the past three years, his hard work and leadership were rewarded with a T959 Pioneer League championship team. SPARKED BY THE ALL-LEAGUERS, the Spartans started ott their league competitoin with a romping 20 to 7 vic- tory over Culver City. After that first league game under the direction ot coaches Tolletson and Solomon the Spar- tans completed a very successful season with a five win and one loss record. This record put the Spartans in a tie tor the first place position with Aviation High. i !
