Roberta Dworkin headed the Optic during the iirst semester as editor. Marilyn Kauffman, Virginia Murray, Lee Yabr, Jean Wilson, and Aaron Canowitz Worked hard writing up the news on page one. Joyce Buchanan, Kathy Reiss, and Caryl Coverdale wrote the personality sketches on page two. The important club and alumni news on page three were written by Barbara Howell and Jerry Hughes. Ron Callander and Jack Phillips covered the thrilling stories about our Bulldog teams on page four. Changing staffs in the middle of the year did not affect the publication .of the Optic. It con- tinued its tradition of writing all the news of importance in and around South High. Page editors for second semester included June Early, Paula Gatewood, Jean Robins, Wal- ter Meyer, Benny Wright, Frank Howard, Bill Keener, John Frank, Janice Keseg, Laura Rose, Janis Reese, Sally Miller, Hervey Williams, and Frances Cowan.
