The Theme YVe have chosen our S'Alma Materv to be the theme of our 1953 yearbook. We feel that this song will always stand dear to us as a memory of our joyous school days and friendships which we will always cherish. DEAR OLD SOUTH South High, dear old South High, Our hearts to you are true, How we love the dear old South Emblem of our Gray and Blue. To thee, oh dear old South, We raise this glorious song! For battles fought and victories won! By noble hearts and strong. Oli, to thy sunny halls, Our loyal hearts will cling, And years of time will ne'er erase, The memories you will bring. The Staff Photographers-F. Sz R. Lazarus Sz Co. and Martin Brody Yearbook editors for 1953 are, left to right: Emmie Huntsberger, Beverly Biggs, Nancy Dingledine, Carol Bowen, june graduates, and Diane VVarner Cinsetl of the january class. These girls, Who compose this year's Lens Stall, were responsible for getting pictures and stories of all seniors, faculty members, clubs, athletic teams, and all special events which occurred through the year, such as Homecoming, senior plays, the Backward Ball, etc. The material Was then compiled and ar- ranged by this staff. In addition they helped with all subscriptions and publicity for the Lens.
