This year she played Edith in the play, An.ithcr Beginning, presented at Bangor in january. As a sophomore she participated in the declamation contest. lier favorite amusements are reading and seeing movies. She plans to attend beauty culture school next year. ARTHUR ANDREWS Art is very much interested in chemistry, par- ticularly photography. Ile spends much of his time working in the school chemistry lab and in his back shed which he has htted tip lor his own personal lab, As a junior he was a member ol the Chemistry Club and prepared an interesting project on panit pigments for the May exhibit. Ile has plaved trumpet in the band, '35, '36, '37, ' 'OPAL AUSTIN Upal's accurate basket shooting, especially in free shots, has proved to be a definite asset to the senior girls' basketball team this year. Spends her leisure time either roller skating, dancing, or playing baseball. ELEANOR BAILEY Eleanor has been a member nt the glee club, '35, '36, mixed chorus, '35, '36g and has participated in the operettas, II. M. S. l inatore, '35 and The Mikado, '36. She has also belonged to the Home Economics Club during her junior and senior years. She has taken part in the gym exhibitions, '35, '36, '37. Nicknamt+ Diz. llobbies-dancing, roller skating, and horseback riding. ERNEST BALASICK Ernest declares that the two most interesting recrea- tional pursuits are swimming and ping pong. As a junior he assisted with the rural agriculture show, and as a senior hc judged apples at the Hartford Fair. GORDON BARNES During Gurdon's years in high school he has spent much ot his time printing signs tor school dances, football games, and other school activities. HAROLD BEHRMAN IIarold's good natnred and easy going disposition may be clearly seen when he declares that after he graduates he'll work until he makes about tive mil- lion dollars and then retire. RUBY CHAMBERS As a junior Ruby was a member ot the glee club, mixed chorus, and participated in the operetta, The Mikado. She has also been a member ol' the Home Economics Club, '35, the French Workshop, '36, and the Senior Dramatic Club, '37. MARY ALICE COOK Vl'hile attending South Haven lligh School, Mary Alice has been a member of the glee club, '37, mixed chorus, '37, and has taken part in the operetta, joan of the Nancy Lee, '37. This year she also assisted in uhe library. As a junior she was a member ot the Travel Club and as a senior nt the Knitting Club. She plans to attend Allegan County Normal and then to teach kindergarten. ELLSWORTH CORRI.E Ellsworth ran the mile on thc track team during his junior and his senior years. He was also on the cross country team as a junior and was elected captain of this year's team but the sport was dis- continued this year. As a junior Ellsworth was a member ot the Chemistry Club. Most outstanding traits are his bashtulness and his deep bass voice. MARGARETE DAMGAARD Margarete has participated in the girls' gym ex- hibition, '35, '36, '37. She played on the senior girls' basketball team, '37. As a junior she was a member oi the Chemistry Club and as a senior of the Knitting Club. He is especially known tor championing the farmer in the arguments which take place in government class. He has been a member of the Current Events Club. '35. '36, '37. EDWIN EBY Ned is planning to enter the University ot Mich- igan, where he will study aeronautical engineering. He is also very much interested in radio. He has played sousaphone in the band, '35, '36, '37, and in South Haven's nine piece swing band. He joined the Current Events Club, '36, the Auto Club, '37 and participated in the gym exhibition, '35, '36, '37. His favorite past-time-reading.
