FOREIGN EXCHANGE STU DE If they can, I can. That was the somewhat unusual motivation for turning in my application for becoming an exchange student. Interviews, physicals and final application followed at a fast rate. At the end of April just before graduation the magic letter arrived. I was accepted! The summer went on and at the beginning of July I still did not know which state was to become my home for nearly a year. Naturally I expected to go to Michigan since the major part of the students go there so when I received a letter saying I would go to' Iowa I thought that would be an experience different from what most other exchange students would have. After nine months in Iowa I can honestly say I like the state, the people in it and of course South Hamil- ton. I can assure you I have enjoyed every minute here I think my host family, who immediatley accepted me not as a guest in their home, but as a member of the family, deserves many thanks. I also want to ex- press my thanks to everybody who has made my stay I here exciting and worthwhile. We feel we were fortunate in having Harald Joch- nick as a foreign exchange student from Sweden. Harald proved himself to be an asset ,to the school and the community by participating in different ac- tivities throughout the year. We want to take this opportunity to wish Harald the best of luck in future years. Students, Faculty, and Residents of South Hamilton Community
